Amid Myanmar‘s ongoing civil war, India has taken a big step. The Free Movement Arrangement (FMR) between India and Myanmar has been terminated by the Central Government. This information was provided by Union Home Minister Amit Shah via X (Twitter).

To maintain the demographic makeup of the northeastern Indian states that border Myanmar and to safeguard national security, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided to end the Free Movement Arrangement (FMR) between India and Myanmar. Currently, the Ministry of External Affairs is in the process of dismantling it, so the Home Ministry recommended it be suspended immediately.

Panic caused due to collapse of a part of Gokulpuri metro station, one person feared dead and 3-4 injured

Delhi Gokulpuri Metro: The collapse of a part of Delhi Gokulpuri metro station created panic in the entire area. One person is feared dead in the accident, while 3-4 people have been injured after being buried under the debris. At present the police have reached the spot and the road has been closed. After the accident, the metro train on this line is currently being operated on a single line.

According to the Delhi Fire Service, an accident took place at Gokulpuri station of Delhi Metro on Thursday at 11 o’clock. It is being told that a part of the station collapsed. One person has died after being hit by its debris, although no official has yet confirmed the death. Meanwhile, 3-4 injured have been admitted to GTB Hospital.

The debris is being removed with the help of JCB and a crane. Local police and metro employees are present at the spot. A case will be registered in this matter under relevant sections of the law. Further investigation is ongoing.

RBI pegs India’s 2024-25 real GDP growth at 7%

The GDP growth rate for the upcoming fiscal year 2024–25 was assessed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday at 7%, a figure that is less than the 7.3 % estimate for the current fiscal year.

Governor of the RBI Shaktikanta Das stated that the investment cycle is gaining speed as a result of higher capital expenditure, rural demand is still improving, and urban consumption is still strong when announcing the bi-monthly monetary policy.

He said that improvements are also being seen in private investment. The gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate for the fiscal year 2024–2025 is projected to be 7%. In the quarters ending in June and September, the GDP will expand by 7.2 percent and 6.8 percent, respectively. On the other hand, estimates for the December and March quarters are 6.9 percent and 7%, respectively.

Delhi court to pass order today on ED complaint against CM Kejriwal for not receiving summons

Excise Case: In the Delhi Excise Policy case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a petition in the court against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not complying with its summons. The Delhi CM received five summonses from the Enforcement Directorate, but Kejriwal did not show up. The investigating agency then made contact with the court. The court will hear this matter today.

Following Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, which establishes the ED’s authority about summonses, document production, etc., the ED has filed a complaint against the non-appearance.

In the Rouse Avenue Court, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Divya Malhotra heard arguments from Additional Solicitor General SV Raju on behalf of the ED. He had claimed that Kejriwal had been sent five separate summonses on different dates by the ED, offering him the chance to participate in the inquiry, but he had been unable to comply with the summonses each time and was purposefully not participating. Under such circumstances, Kejriwal ought to face the proper legal action by the guidelines. The case hearing was scheduled for February 7 by the court.

Huge fire after explosion in firecracker factory in Harda district of Madhya Pradesh, injured are being taken to hospital

Madhya Pradesh: Reports of a quick explosion in an illegal fireworks factory are coming from Madhya Pradesh‘s Harda district. Tuesday morning there was an explosion in the city’s illicit firecracker factory on Magardha Road, which resulted in a major fire.
