A major road accident has happened in Himachal Pradesh‘s Kullu and so far more than 20 people including school children have died in the accident, while many people are said to be injured. A bus fell into a gorge in the Sainj valley of Kullu district, where children were also aboard. After the accident, the bodies of 16 people have been taken out so far and many people are still buried.

The accident happened at 8.30 am near Jangla village
According to Kullu Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg, the bus from Kullu to Sainj in Himachal Pradesh crashed into a gorge close to Jangla village at around 8.30 am. According to him, the Kullu district’s officials and rescue personnel have arrived on the scene, and the injured are being sent to a local hospital.
Death toll may increase
According to the District Commissioner, the accident’s fatality toll could go up. Police have gone to the spot and relief and rescue are being done. According to reports, the bus fell down the road as the driver attempted to pull it out of the side of the road because there was debris on the road. After the crash, the bus was blown up.
