The Sudan scenario is getting worse due to the ongoing civil war between the army and paramilitary groups there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has voiced worry for the trapped Indians in Sudan such a predicament. PM Modi convened a high-level meeting for this on Friday, April 21.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi gave the order to be vigilant in Sudan, closely watch the developments, and assess the security of Indian nationals.

The PM was directed to create an emergency plan for the evacuation of Indian citizens from Sudan and to make quick adjustments to their security and alternative options.

More than 3000 Indians are stranded in Sudan right now. They have difficulty being evacuated due to conflict in Khartoum.
