After becoming PM for the third time, Modi on Varanasi tour; will give a gift of Rs 20,000 crore to the farmers

Tuesday marks Narendra Modi‘s visit to his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, where he will take part in several events following his election as prime minister for the third time. He will also unveil the 17th payment of the PM-Kisan Yojana, which will provide Rs 20,000 crore in benefits to over 9.26 crore farmers.

He announced that Modi will introduce the ‘Digital Kisan Credit Card’ (KKC) from Kashi and award certificates to over 30,000 members of self-help groups who have received Krishi Sakhis training.

The Uttar Pradesh government is working with the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to coordinate this event. Following his third term in office, Prime Minister Modi approved the launch of PM Kisan Nidhi’s 17th installment, which is expected to provide over Rs 20,000 crore in benefits to 9.3 crore farmers.
