Delhi Police raided digital news website NewsClick’s premises and interrogated many journalists amid a funding dispute with China. Multiple places have been subject to simultaneous raids.

The information indicates that the cops have also taken hard drive data. The special cell of the police confiscated numerous electronic items during the operation, including computers, laptops, and mobile devices. A case has been opened by the police under UAPA.

NewsClick’s Founder and Editor-in-Chief Prabir Purkayastha was brought to the office of the Special Cell of the Delhi Police.

In relation to funding, ED has previously raided NewsClick. In this case, ED had filed a money laundering complaint and had also seized some of NewsClick’s assets. The whereabouts of journalists are being searched by Special Cell officers of the Delhi Police.

He claimed that the private company gave the AAP Rs 13 crore for the Goa elections.

“Kejriwal’s government in Delhi has given a private company, Metropolis Laboratory and Pathology Centers, a number of medical contracts to process blood and other biosamples from several hospitals run by the Delhi government, primarily for all inmates of the Delhi Jail. This application/complaint was filed because, according to Satyender Jain’s instructions, my staff collected a payment of Rs 13 crores in three installments from Metropolis Labs’ Mumbai office during the most recent Goa elections.

Chandrashekhar has also said that during one of their FaceTime conversations, Jain and Kejriwal mentioned that the Metropolis director was a close buddy and that he was providing money because they had assisted the business. He also allegedly said that the money needed to be gathered from Mumbai and transported to Goa and Bengaluru.

The conman offered to produce the FaceTime and WhatsApp chats of the aforementioned transactions of 13 crores that were received and collected from Metropolis Labs’ Mumbai office, pleading with the ED and CBI to check into the situation.

Fierce fire in chemical factory in Delhi’s Bawana, 30 fire engines present on the spot
