IMD issued a high alert for heavy rains in 19 states in the next 24 hours

5 Vande Bharat trains headed throughout the nation have been flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rani Kamlapati Railway Station in Bhopal. From the station, PM Modi signalled the departure of the Vande Bharat train travelling from Bhopal to Indore. Four other Vande Bharat trains, which ran on four other routes of the country, were also shown the green flag.

Odisha Vigilance unearths huge cash worth over Rs 3 crore during raid at Sub-Collector’s properties

Radhakrishna, the vigilance Superintendent of Police (SP), vigilance teams have been conducting simultaneous raids on the properties of Nabarangpur additional sub-collector Prasanta Kumar Rout at nine locations on the basis of a search warrant granted by the special judge, vigilance, Sundargarh.

According to Rout, vigilance officers have so far retrieved cash totaling Rs 2.25 crore from his Bhubaneswar apartment and another Rs 77 lakh from his Nowrangpur residence.

BSF recovers 14 small packets of narcotics in Firozpur, Punjab

On Wednesday, Border Security Force (BSF) recovered 14 small packets of heroin, estimated to weigh approximately 500 grams, from the border.

In the Firozpur district, BSF troops were conducting an area dominance patrol when they saw strange footprints close to the village of Gandhi Kilcha. During the search, they discovered suspected heroin packages that had been wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.

The Border Security Force stated in a press statement that on Wednesday at around 6:45 a.m., the personnel conducting an area domination patrol in front of the border fence saw odd footprints close to the village of Gandu Kilcha in the district of Ferozepur.
