Ustad Rashid Khan Passes Away: 55 वर्ष के संगीत सम्राट राशिद खान का कैंसर से कोलकाता के एक अस्पताल में निधन

कोलकाता: संगीत के 55 वर्षीय सम्राट, पद्म भूषण पुरस्कार विजेता उस्ताद राशिद खान (Ustad Rashid Khan) ने प्रोस्टेट कैंसर के संघर्ष के बाद मंगलवार को अपनी आख़री साँस ली। उनका पार्थिव शरीर शाम 6 बजे तक कोलकाता के पीयरलेस अस्पताल में रखा जाएगा। इनके अंतिम दर्शन के लिए उन्हें पीस हेवन, कोलकाता भेजा जाएगा, और 10 जनवरी को उनका अंतिम संस्कार किया जाएगा।

उस्ताद राशिद खान, जो कैंसर के कारण लंबे समय से कोलकाता के एक अस्पताल में इलाज कर रहे थे, पिछले साल सेरेब्रल अटैक का सामना करने के बाद से ही स्वास्थ्य में गिरावट का सामना कर रहे थे।

पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने उनके निधन पर अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त की और घोषणा की कि उन्हें बंदूक की सलामी दी जाएगी। उनके पार्थिव शरीर को लोगों के अंतिम दर्शन के लिए कोलकाता के रवीन्द्र सदन में रखा जाएगा।

उस्ताद राशिद खान की रिकॉर्डिंग, लाइव प्रदर्शन और कला के प्रति समर्पण ने भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत के क्षेत्र में सबसे प्रतिष्ठित और सम्मानित गायकों में से एक के रूप में अपना स्थान सुरक्षित किया है। उन्होंने ‘आओगे जब तुम’, ‘आज कोई जोगी आवे’, ‘रिश्ते नाते’, ‘इश्क का रंग’ और कई अन्य गानों में योगदान किया है।
