Heavy rain and snowfall alert in these districts of Jammu and Kashmir, avalanche warning issued

Amarnath Cloudburst: Amarnath Yatra postponed due to cloudburst near Amarnath cave, death toll rises to 17

The Amarnath Yatra has been postponed in the wake of this tragedy, according to a senior administration official. The decision to continue the rescue effort will be made after the rescue effort is completed. But late on Friday night, a fresh group of pilgrims embarked on the Amarnath Yatra, traveling from the Jammu base camp to the Baltal and Pahalgam base camps in Kashmir.

The weather is not clear even near the holy cave of Shri Amarnath. It has been decided to postpone the yatra due to the safety of devotees in Aceh. In the camps, devotees have been provided with all the necessary arrangements. The journey will be resumed as soon as the weather clears.

The sixth batch of passengers from the base camp in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, was released under strict security measures with 7276 passengers.
