Court extends judicial custody of Manish Sisodia in Delhi Excise Policy case

In the Delhi excise policy case, the Rouse Avenue court has requested a new status report on the CBI’s investigation. Additionally, the court has given AAP leader Manish Sisodia and the other accused parties until February 5 to remain in judicial detention.

Delhi Liquor Policy Scam: On December 22, Manish Sisodia, the former deputy chief minister, appeared at Rouse Avenue Court about the purported Delhi Liquor Policy scam.

Manish Sisodia had his judicial detention extended by Rouse Avenue Court until the next hearing date of January 19, 2024. The accused’s attorney is given until January 15 by the court to view the documents at CBI headquarters.

In addition, the court ordered the CBI to assign enough officers to help with the inspection and to submit a compliance report.

Notably, Manish Sisodia was taken into custody by the CBI on February 26, 2023. In connection with the money laundering investigation, the ED then detained Manish Sisodia.

A fresh charge sheet in the suspected land-for-jobs scam case against former Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has been approved by the Home Ministry, the CBI informed Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court.

As of yet, no sanctions have been imposed against the three railway officials by the CBI. The last approval, according to CBI, is anticipated within a week. A subsequent hearing in the case has been scheduled for September 21.

On July 3, the CBI submitted an additional charge sheet in this case. In this charge sheet, Tejashwi Yadav‘s name first appeared. In this investigation, the CBI has named 16 suspects, including Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi. These also contain the names of the alleged railroad employees and job applicants.

Court extends judicial custody of Manish Sisodia in CBI case till June 2

Delhi Liquor Policy: In the CBI case, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has prolonged Manish Sisodia’s judicial detention until June 2. On Thursday, the court had earlier deferred its decision regarding Manish Sisodia‘s bail request.

In addition, Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma ordered the appropriate jail superintendent to make arrangements for a virtual meeting between Sisodia and her wife every other day between 3 and 4 pm until the bail appeal is resolved.

As per jail rules, the virtual meeting will take place as scheduled. In connection with cases filed by the CBI and ED, Sisodia is currently being held in judicial custody. Recently, he was also refused bail in the ED case.

ED sent liquor businessman Amandeep Dhal on five days ED remand in Delhi Excise Case

Amandeep Dhal, a businessman in the liquor industry who was arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into money laundering involving the Delhi Excise Policy, was given a five-day ED custody on Thursday by the Rouse Avenue Court.

According to sources, Amandeep Dhal was arrested by the agency on Wednesday night after being questioned in accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) regulations.

Manish Sisodia arrested in Delhi Excise Policy scam case; On CBI remand till March 4

Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, was taken into custody by the CBI in connection with the fraud involving the Delhi Excise Policy. Sisodia was detained by the CBI yesterday after being questioned about the liquor scam for eight hours. CBI remands Sisodia until March 4

Manish Sisodia has been remanded for five days by Rouse Avenue Court. Now Sisodia will be on CBI remand till March 4. In court, the CBI team had stated that Sisodia had not yet been questioned over the excise scam and that more specific information was needed. He required a five-day remand for all of this, and the judge likewise ruled in his favour.
