The fourth-largest private sector bank, Kotak Mahindra, has a new boss. Dipak Gupta has been named the new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank by the Reserve Bank (RBI).

Dipak has been appointed only for two months in this interim position. Uday Kotak had left his position at the beginning of the month.

In a regulatory filing on Friday, Kotak Mahindra Bank stated that Dipak Gupta has been nominated by the RBI for a two-month term, commencing as of September 2. On September 1, four months before his term was set to expire, MD-CEO Uday Kotak announced his resignation. The last day of his term was December 31, 2023.

Special session of Parliament will be held in the new Parliament House, Congress will be included in the special session

The government of Modi has scheduled a special session of Parliament for September 18–22. The new Parliament House, for which all preparations have been made, will host this session. The session will start in the old building on September 18 but move to the new Parliament House on September 19 in honor of Ganesh Chaturthi, according to sources cited by news agency ANI.

The construction of the new Parliament House, according to the officials, was finished long ago; however, some equipment and other things needed to be placed inside. In such a situation, the new building will be used for a special session of Parliament.

In actuality, the Central Vista Project, under which the new Parliament House was constructed, was managed by the Modi administration. Its first stone was laid in December 2020, and this year it was completed in a record amount of time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the new Parliament House on May 28, 2023.

ED summons TMC MP Nusrat Jahan in the case of scam of lakhs of rupees in the name of giving flat

Nusrat Jahan, a Trinamool MP from Basirhat, West Bengal, has been called in by the ED in connection with a case of fraud involving lakhs of rupees in the pretext of providing a flat. Next Tuesday, he must appear at the CGO Complex, according to the request.

Karkardooma district court noted that Hussain had already been granted bail in two other FIRs in which several witnesses were the same.

The court remarked that the High Court had in the past given the case’s merits thought before releasing Hussain on bail. In light of this, the court granted bail to the former AAP councillor on the condition that he post a one lakh rupee surety.
