West Bengal is likely to experience heavy rainfall, cyclone alerts issued in these states

A cyclone alert has been issued for Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) report. However, heavy rain is expected in many parts of West Bengal on Saturday.

A deep depression has developed over northeast India and the east-central Bay of Bengal, the weather department said. This cyclone may intensify into a tropical cyclone known as Cyclone Gulab and move southward towards Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh.

According to the IMD, the storm will bring heavy rains to parts of West Bengal, including Kolkata, North 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, and South 24 Parganas.

Upon receiving the IMD alert, the Kolkata Police established a ‘Unified Command Center’. Kolkata and other areas in West Bengal are expected to receive heavy rainfall this week, prompting all police divisions and stations in the area to remain on high alert.

The police are remaining prepared for any untoward incidents that may occur due to the storm by keeping gumboots and other equipment on hand.

The coastal areas of West Bengal are preparing for the storm due to cyclone alerts in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Early Saturday morning, the depression was located 590 km east of Kalingapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, 510 km southeast of Gopalpur.

This storm is expected to evolve into a cyclonic storm within 12 hours. Towards the evening of September 26, it is estimated to cross the northern and southern coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha around Kalingapatnam.”, according to the IMD.

In Chhattisgarh on September 27, moderate to heavy rains are likely to fall in most places, with extremely heavy falls possible in isolated locations.

UK says: Covid Vaccine certification for travel must meet minimum standards

According to UK government guidelines, countries certifying COVID-19 vaccines must satisfy a “minimum criterion” and in addition, it is working with India to introduce “phased approaches” to international travel standards.

An expanded travel advisory to the UK refers to Covishield, a vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India and sold by Oxford/AstraZeneca. The UK has only approved 18 countries for vaccine certification, so Indian travelers to the UK will still be treated as non-vaccinated and will therefore have to stay in quarantine for ten days.

Government sources in the UK said Wednesday night that additions or changes to the approved country listings are being considered “regularly.” However, there were no further explanations regarding how vaccine certification was approved.

“As part of our recently expanded inbound vaccination policy, we recognize the following vaccines for travel abroad: Pfizer BioNTech, Oxford AstraZeneca, Moderna and Janssen (J&J). The list now includes AstraZeneca Covishield, AstraZeneca Vaxzevria, and Moderna Takeda,” a UK government spokesperson said.

In order to achieve safety and sustainability in the reopening of travel, all countries must meet minimum criteria that include public health and broader considerations when certifying vaccination certification. We continue to work with international partners, including India, to roll out our phased approach,” the spokesperson said.

Travelers who have not been fully vaccinated, or vaccinated in a country not recognized by the UK government such as India, must take a pre-departure test, pay for day two and day eight PCR tests after arrival in England, and self-isolate for 10 days, with an option to “test to release” after five days following a negative PCR test.

COVID-19 vaccines are issued in India and Covishield is one of them, the certification of India was not recognized, A UK government source only confirms that the rollout of the inbound vaccination program to other countries and territories was always intended to be phased, based on the success of pilot programs in the US and Europe.

In England, the traffic light system that grades countries based on their COVID-19 risk levels will be officially withdrawn on October 4. Although Covishield is now recognized by the UK as an acceptable vaccine formulation, it would not offer any advantage to Indian travelers who have had Covishield vaccination and are planning to visit the UK.

The size of the Influencer Marketing Industry may cross 2200 crore by 2025 in India

This report says that personal care (25%), food and beverage (20%), fashion and jewelry (15%), and electronics and mobile 10% are the top four categories that contribute to 70% of influencer marketing sales.

Influencer marketing expenditures are spent on celebrities only 27% of the time and 73% of the time on influencers. Nearly two-thirds of the Indian population follows an influencer.

The INCA influencer marketing survey shows that 100% of marketing leaders agree that influencer marketing is a high or top priority for their marketing calendar in 2021. According to the survey, 50% of respondents intend to increase influencer marketing spending by 25-36%.

“Influencer marketing industry is at a point of inflexion and can take off, subject to the industry initiating to measure, quantify and make investments in influencer marketing accountable.
