Parliament Special Session: Today, during a special session of Parliament called by the Central Government, the Women’s Reservation Bill was discussed in the Lok Sabha. While endorsing the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi argued in the Lok Sabha that the government has to put it into effect right now.

According to Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi dreamed up this ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Bill’ for women’s reservations. Later, the PM PV Narasimha Rao administration approved the Women’s Reservation Bill. As a result, 15 lakh women have been elected as leaders in local councils nationwide, according to Sonia Gandhi.

Sonia Gandhi added that Indian women have hearts filled with patience like the ocean. He was treated unfairly, but he never voiced a complaint. He never focused solely on his personal advantages. Like rivers, he has toiled for everyone’s benefit. It is impossible to gauge a woman’s bravery. She does not understand what sleep is or how to become exhausted. Not only did she give us life, but she also raised us, gave us intelligence, and gave us strength. We can only advance in humanity by appreciating women’s sacrifice and dignity.

Sonia Gandhi voted in favor of the women’s reservation measure, but she urged the administration to begin implementing it right away. Women are being asked to wait longer for reservations, according to Sonia Gandhi, who spoke in the Lok Sabha. She claimed that although it is difficult to gauge a woman’s patience, Indian women worked for everyone’s benefit and that I am supporting the Women’s Reservation Bill.
