Big relief to former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain, got bail in a case related to riots

Delhi Riots: In a case involving the Delhi riots, the Karkardooma court has granted bail to former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain. In the matter of shooting and injuring young Ajay Goswami in the vicinity of the Dayalpur police station on February 25, 2020, the court granted Tahir Hussain bail.

Karkardooma district court noted that Hussain had already been granted bail in two other FIRs in which several witnesses were the same.

The court remarked that the High Court had in the past given the case’s merits thought before releasing Hussain on bail. In light of this, the court granted bail to the former AAP councillor on the condition that he post a one lakh rupee surety.

During the February 2020 riots in Delhi, the Delhi Police registered 11 cases against Tahir Hussain on charges of murder, rioting, and criminal conspiracy.

Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar alleges medical firm transferred Rs 13 cr to AAP for Goa polls

Sukesh Chandrashekhar, a convicted conman, has sent a new letter to the Delhi Local Government alleging Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and previous Health Minister Satyendar Jain of breaking the law in order to give medical contracts to a for-profit company called Metropolis Laboratory and Pathology Centers.

He claimed that the private company gave the AAP Rs 13 crore for the Goa elections.

“Kejriwal’s government in Delhi has given a private company, Metropolis Laboratory and Pathology Centers, a number of medical contracts to process blood and other biosamples from several hospitals run by the Delhi government, primarily for all inmates of the Delhi Jail. This application/complaint was filed because, according to Satyender Jain’s instructions, my staff collected a payment of Rs 13 crores in three installments from Metropolis Labs’ Mumbai office during the most recent Goa elections.

Chandrashekhar has also said that during one of their FaceTime conversations, Jain and Kejriwal mentioned that the Metropolis director was a close buddy and that he was providing money because they had assisted the business. He also allegedly said that the money needed to be gathered from Mumbai and transported to Goa and Bengaluru.

The conman offered to produce the FaceTime and WhatsApp chats of the aforementioned transactions of 13 crores that were received and collected from Metropolis Labs’ Mumbai office, pleading with the ED and CBI to check into the situation.

Supreme Court reprimanded Aam Aadmi Party, said – directed to give Rs 415 crore for RRTS

The Delhi government was ordered by the Supreme Court on Monday to pay Rs 415 crore for the ‘Regional Rapid Transport System’ (RRTS) within two months.

If the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led government could spend Rs 1,000 crore on advertisements in the previous three years, obviously infrastructure projects could be funded, a bench of Justices SK Kaul and Sudhanshu Dhulia noted.

The Delhi government had previously stated that it was unable to provide funding for the RRTS initiative, and as a result, the Supreme Court ordered it to document the amount of money it had spent on advertising over the previous three years.

Satyendar Jain hospitalized again; collapses in Delhi Tihar Jail’s bathroom

Satyendar Jain Hospitalized: Satyendar Jain, a former minister for Delhi and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, was admitted to the hospital on Thursday. During a washroom visit at Tihar Jail on Wednesday night, Satyendra Jain fell unconscious.

He reportedly received minor wounds, according to the Tihar Jail authorities. He was taken to Deendayal Hospital for evaluation.

Jain has now been sent to the hospital three times in the past week. He was transported to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi earlier on May 22. Later, he developed spinal issues. He was taken to Deen Dayal Hospital for the same issue on May 20 as well.

ED will interrogate Amit Arora and Vijay Nair in Delhi Excise Policy case

Amit Arora, director of Buddy Retail Pvt Limited, and Vijay Nair, a former AAP media coordinator who is currently being held in Tihar Jail in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam, are set to provide new statements to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The central agency recently filed a motion with the special PMLA court asking for authorization to question the subjects further while they were in judicial custody. The judge agreed after hearing their argument and gave them permission to go to Tihar Jail and record the statements.

Delhi liquor policy case: AAP MP Raghav Chadha named in ED’s charge sheet

Raghav Chadha, an AAP member, was named in the second supplemental chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the case involving the Delhi liquor policy on Tuesday.

The investigation agency was informed by Manish Sisodia‘s former secretary, C Arvind, that Raghav Chadha attended a meeting at the former Deputy Chief Minister’s residence.

Varun Roojam, the commissioner of the Punjab Excise Directorate, Vijay Nair, one of the defendants in the case, and other employees of the Punjab Excise Directorate were also there, according to C Arvind’s statement.

Delhi Police arrests six people for putting up objectionable posters against PM Modi

Six persons have been detained by the Delhi Police for putting up offensive posters critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There have been 100 FIRs filed in this regard.

Under the Printing Press Act and the Property Act, FIRs have been filed. The posters did not contain information on the printing press, according to Special CP Dipendra Pathak.

A van that came out of the office of the Aam Aadmi Party was intercepted. Police seized posters and arrested some people. A police investigation has revealed that there were plans to display 50,000 posters across Delhi.
