2 people died in stone pelting in Banbhulpura- Haldwani, identification of accused continues, internet service also closed

Haldwani Violence: On Thursday, stone-throwing in Banbhulpura, Haldwani, resulted in two fatalities and over 250 injuries. All of the injured are reportedly receiving medical attention at the hospital.

In this regard, Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami convened a high-level meeting. Along with other senior police and intelligence officials, the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police evaluated the situation. CM Dhami has urged everyone to uphold the status quo.

Vandana Singh, DM Nainital, states: “The police station has been demolished by the mob. It’s a regrettable occurrence. Strict measures will be implemented if the offender is recognized. This (incident) was not communal. I request everyone.” Avoid making it sensitive or communal. The miscreants engaged in Banbhulpura are being identified and prosecuted, according to the police. The entire city has been turned into a cantonment with security in mind. Moreover, internet services have been discontinued. There is also a curfew in place for the whole region.

On Thursday, a team from the Municipal Corporation arrived with a JCB machine to demolish the illegal madrassa and namaz place. He was accompanied on this occasion by police officers as well. Uniform Civil Code: Today, the Uniform Civil Code bill was passed by the Uttarakhand Assembly following discussion. The UCC bill was approved by voice vote in the evening. Uttarakhand Assembly: The Uniform Civil Code bill will be introduced by the government in the House today, the second day of the Assembly session. Uttarakhand might soon follow Goa as the second state in the nation to adopt the Uniform Civil Code. The Business Advisory Committee of the Assembly met on Monday and agreed to postpone today’s Zero Hour and Question Hour in light of this significant bill.

The bill will be introduced and discussion on it will start as soon as the House starts its session. The Select Committee’s report on providing the state agitators with a 10% horizontal reservation in government services will also be tabled in the House today.

To prepare the document, a special committee was established. Over 20 months, the committee engaged with different religious organizations, civic associations, political parties, and the general public to create a draft of the code. On February 2, the committee gave the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami this 740-page draft, which was divided into four volumes.

CM PS Dhami met 41 laborers rescued from the tunnel in Uttarakhand and handed over checks of Rs 1 lakh each

As per the advice of doctors, all the workers will undergo health check-ups at AIIMS Rishikesh.”

After 17 days, the laborers are relieved to have been removed from the Silkyara tunnel safely. The government of Uttarakhand and the Central government have been congratulated by the laborers for putting all the protection measures in place. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami was the one providing PM Narendra Modi with information at all times. PM Modi also spoke with the workers on Tuesday after they were removed from the tunnel.
