The CBI’s action would undoubtedly spark a political uproar in the state of Bihar after the state’s chief minister, Nitish Kumar, severed ties with the BJP and joined forces with the RJD.

Notably, the CBI began its investigation into Lalu Yadav in 2018 as a result of charges of corruption in the case involving the distribution of railroad projects. Lalu was accused of making these faults while serving as the UPA government’s railway minister.

The CBI finished its investigation into this matter on May 2021. Then it was disclosed in the reports that the CBI had not discovered any conclusive proof of Lalu’s accusations. In this case, in addition to Lalu, Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, and Chanda Yadav, his daughter, were the subjects of an inquiry.

In the state’s Rampur, a local church’s pastor has been detained in connection with a case of forced conversion. According to the police, parts of the Prohibition of Unlawful Religion Act in Uttar Pradesh have been invoked to file charges against the accused Pastor Polo Messiah in this instance.

“A case was made against the accused on the basis of a complaint by local resident Rajeev Yadav, who will be sent to jail,” said Rampur’s Additional Superintendent of Police Sansar Singh.

Naib Subedar Chandan Kumar Mishra and Naib Subedar Omkar Singh of the 285 Medical Regiment, L/Havildar Gopinath Makur, Sepoy Sukha Ram, Havildar Charan Singh, and Naik Ravinder Singh Thapa of the 26 Mechanized Infantry are among those who perished in the mishap, according to the army.

Four troops from the 25 Grenadiers, L/Naik Bhupendra Singh, Naik Shyam Singh Yadav, Naik Lokesh Kumar, and Grenadier Vikas Kumar, died in the accident together with Naik Vaishakh S and Naik Pramod Singh of the 221 Field Regiment.

According to the army, other troops who perished in the disaster included Subedar Guman Singh and L/Havildar Arvind Singh from the 8 Rajasthan Rifles, L/Naik Sombir Singh from the 113 Engineer Regiment, and L/Naik Manoj Kumar from the 1871 Field Regiment.

President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Congressman Rahul Gandhi sent their condolences to the mourning families of the dead heroes.
