No Congress member will serve in UP Legislative Council for the first time, today is the last day of the lone member

For the first time in the 135-year history of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, on Wednesday, July 6, there will be no Congress member. Congress will now be vacated from the Legislative Council to be called the Upper House in the Uttar Pradesh Legislature. The sole representative of the Congress party, Deepak Singh, will retire today.

If we go through the window of history, it is known that on January 5, 1887, the Legislative Council was formed for the first time in the province of Uttar Pradesh, and on January 8, 1887, the first meeting of the United Provinces was held at ‘Thornhill Memorial Hall Allahabad’, ever since then. It did not happen that there was no representative of Congress in the Legislative Council. On Wednesday, though, there won’t be a single member of Congress present in the Legislative Council.

Who is retiring

A total of 10 members are retiring from the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council today. These include Jagjivan Prasad, Balram Yadav, Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Pathak, Ranvijay Singh, Ramsunder Nishad, and Shatruddha Prakash of the Samajwadi Party. Apart from this, the tenure of Bahujan Samaj Party’s Atar Singh Rao, Suresh Kumar Kashyap, and Dinesh Chandra is also ending on Wednesday.

Along with this, Congress’s Deepak Singh is also retiring today as a member of the Legislative Council, while two members of the Bharatiya Janata Party, whose term is ending today. They have already been sent to the Legislative Council. These include the names of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Panchayati State Minister Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh.

UP MLC Election Result 2022: BJP’s Pragya Tripathi wins from Bahraich seat, defeating SP candidate by 3188 votes

Dr. Pragya Tripathi, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was elected to Bahraich MLC. Samajwadi Party candidate Amar was defeated by 3188 votes. There was 98.91 percent of eligible voters in attendance. There were two candidates.

On the 9th of April (Saturday), voting was held for the election of MLCs from a total of 27 local authority constituencies. There are 95 candidates who will be decided in this election. Unopposed elections have been held for 9 MLCs from 8 constituencies. A total of 739 polling booths were set up.

UP MLC election 2022 concluded with the election of 9 members from 8 local authority constituencies. In the constituencies where unopposed elections have been held, one member each has been elected from Badaun, Hardoi, Kheri, Mirzapur-Sonbhadra, Banda-Hamirpur, Aligarh, Bulandshahr. Mathura-Eta-Mainpuri has elected two members unopposed. There will be voting in 58 districts across the state.

The Central Armed Police Force is providing security at polling stations in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections. In addition to this, central security forces have been deployed for the strong room, which will store ballot boxes after voting. A total of 293 zonal magistrates, 451 sector magistrates, and 597 static magistrates have been deployed to ensure the smooth running of the election.

Yogi Adityanath will get big responsibility from BJP, meeting will be held in Delhi today- source claimed

According to the BJP high command, Yogi Adityanath can be elevated in the party in light of the BJP’s assembly election results in Uttar Pradesh. Based on information received from sources, CM Yogi may be appointed to the BJP Parliamentary Board.

The Parliamentary Board is scheduled to be reconstituted soon by BJP National President JP Nadda. Delhi will be visited by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday. The CM will depart from Gorakhpur for Delhi and meet the party’s leaders there. CM has been summoned to Delhi.

At present, there are 11 members of the BJP Parliamentary Board. Currently, there are only 7 members on this board. The commission has not added any new members after Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley passed away. Despite the fact that Thawarchandra Gehlot is the Governor and Venkaiah Naidu is the Vice President, there have been no additions to the board. Consequently, the Parliamentary Board is expected to include four new members this time. CM Yogi may also be from Uttar Pradesh.
